Relaxation, Therapeutic or Integrative Massage... It's your choice.
We tailor each massage session to your individual needs and desires so you receive the massage you’re looking for.
Swedish Relaxation Massage
Swedish massage increases circulation and flushes toxins from the body by using long, smooth, relatively superficial strokes that move blood and lymph towards the heart. This gentle massage is very relaxing and is good for general muscle tension and stress. Swedish massage flushes muscles and related tissues of toxins which is important to the body’s immune system.
Therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is an approach that reaches the deeper layers of the muscles
and related tissues by using a variety of techniques such as stretching, deep
finger or forearm pressure and slow, steady firm strokes. This technique is
excellent for chronic pain, spasms, injury management, increasing range of
motion, flexibility and improving posture. Deep tissue can also be deeply relaxing.
Sports Massage
Sports massage uses a wide variety of modalities to increase an athlete's physical performance, quicken recovery time and provide relief to overworked muscles. A sports massage session often includes a lot of stretching.
Integrative
Integrative massage is a blend of the above modalities and more. There are many, many styles of massage most of which share the related goals of achieving and maintaining good physical condition and providing the client with a sense of well-being. Integration massage means I will draw upon techniques from each of these modalities and others to best suit your unique situation. The best of both worlds - this is your maintenance massage.
Cupping Massage
Cupping massage is a modified version of cupping therapy commonly used in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). Glass or plastic cups are used to create a suction or negative pressure and then glided over muscles and adhesions. The resulting sensation is similar to deep tissue massage. This highly effective massage modality addresses deeper layers of connective and muscle tissue. Great for fibromyalgia, chronic pain, a sluggish colon, scar tissue, cellulite and draining excess fluids and toxins.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage is a specialty massage in which smooth, heated stones and warm oil are incorporated into a full body treatment. The therapist uses traditional strokes of Swedish, Deep Tissue or Trigger Point massage while holding the heated stones. Stones are also placed in specific areas like along the spine, over large muscle groups in the back and hips, in the palms of the hands and on the feet. The penetrating heat of the stones help muscles release often more quickly that with traditional massage. Tight fascia seems to melt away and circulation is greatly increased. This incredibly grounding, and luxurious massage modality requires a little more time than your traditional massage. We offer sessions of 75 minutes, 90 minutes and 120 minutes. Hot Stone Massage is an extra $15 to standard rates due to additional preparation and break down time.
